Kellies Stamps - August sneek #2...

I have been playing catchup with Project Life and the new stamps from Kellie Stamps are making the job a whole lot of fun.
I used a journal card from Big City Quiet's "Happy Fourth" set then added "yes" which I cut from another journal card from Big City Quiet's "word stamps No 5". I then added stamps from the "seriously" stamp set and used the new alpha stamp set "alpha nut" to add the words "days".  Both these set will be available on the 1st of August for pre-order.

Will be back soon with more sneaky peeks... this is so much fun!!

5 mins of coffee & Instagram...

I have the same routine every morning:-

wake up
shower
dress
then I sit down with my breakfast, coffee and Instagram!

but nearly every morning after just 5 mins of coffee and Instagram I have a "TO DO" LIST.
Something will catch my eye, spark an interest or get me thinking.
I just don't have time in the morning to check them all out, so, I make myself a list, that way in the evening when every thing is done and it's time to relax I know exactly what I want to do.

today I thought I would share my TO DO list:-

Project Life - new planner albums etc.
Flair buttons by Lilgik
Classes at Studio Calico - thinking maybe the planner class??
Kelly Purkey - you tube
#littlesummerJOY - new class is up
Azzari Jarret Blog - Photo Life 02 tips for Finding your Creative Voice

still doodling thanks to my class at Big Picture Classes by Brandi Kincaid

What do you do with 5 mins...

Kellie stamps - August peek #1...

This is fast becoming my favourite time of the month...
Sneak peek time!!

My first sneak peek is the new alpha set "stand tall" that will be available from
Kellie Stamps for pre-order in August.
My friend bought me a coffee cup while she was away that what totally perfect for me.  The packaging (which gets me everytime) was the same colour as the cup and had the same wording on it.  Instead of photographing the cup I cut a cup shape out of the box and attached it to a plain white journal card.  Next I added some journalling and a little "doodle" of my friend.  These alpha stamps were the perfect thing to use for my title.

Happy stamping...

#hashtagthisweek - An Interview With...

Playing along with #hashtagthisweek - what a great prompt.  I have been meaning to do this with my kids for the last few months so this was just the push I needed.
I did this back in 2011 with both my kids using a digital template from Cathy Zielske and I decided that I would use the same template and the same questions as I thought it would be fun to compare.

It turns out Josh still hates chicken snitzel and roast LOL!

I added both here side by side so you could see the difference.
I kept the pages simple as I wanted to focus more on the words and story.

This certainly was fun to look back on compare.

Now if I can just get my daughter to answer these questions...

Love me :-)

Planning some #littlesummerJOY...

Happy Sunday everyone, hope you have had an awesome weekend.  I am enjoying these last few hours before my holidays end and I start back at work.

This weeks class for #littlesummerJOY over at Little Paper Projects was all about planning some JOY into your life.  As I mentioned earlier I am not a "planner" as such.  I do keep a diary/planner to organise my day but its separate from my memory keeping projects. However, I did think it would be fun to take the prompt and turn it into a layout.  Last weekend my husband and I went into town to try out a new cafe. We walked lots and saw lots so I created a "diary page" as the base for my layout and then added all the fun things that you would add to a planner.

This was such a fun page to do and I loved that I could add lots of little things like stickers, stamps, embellishments and lots of writing.  I wanted it to look like a planner page rather than a layout.  Totally loved how it turned out.

I hope you are enjoying this class as much as I am.  Cannot wait for the next lesson!!

#littlesummerJOY - learn something new...

Sometimes when you are feeling a little less than happy you need to find something that will lift your spirits and keep you going forward.  A friend told me about a class at Big Picture Classes called "Doodled" by Brandi Kincaid so I went and checked it out.  OMG!!
This would have to be one of the most fun classes I have ever done.
Learning something new is always a great way to lift your spirits and to take your mind off things.

Learning to doodle has certainly taken my mind off things and is putting a smile on my face.  Please don't worry I am not seriously ill or anything, just having lots of headaches so I am currently having tests to see if they can find out why.  But with the headaches I am getting nausea and it was getting me down a bit but doodling has made me forget all about that, at least for a little while.

This week's class is up at Little Paper Projects for "LittlesummerJOY and its all about planning some JOY into your days and documenting it.  I do keep a planner/diary but its where I write stuff, scribble etc and its not one I decorate so I was looking for a way to plan some JOY into my day and this certainly did that.  Although this weeks class is about using planners to plan JOY into your day you don't need to use a planner.  I have doodled a "to do" list as a way of planning and I will be sharing a scrapbook layout soon showing another way to plan JOY into your day.

Sometimes you have to find or look for JOY in your day.
Trying something new and fun certainly gave me some JOY.

JOY to you
love me :-)

#littlesummerJOY - scavenger hunt...

Popping in to give you a look at how I have documented the #littlesummerJOY photo scavenger hunt.  This has been such a fun way to capture a little bit of me and my life right now.  It always amazes me how just a few words, turned into prompts can give you the inspiration to document so much.

I am doing a photobook so this is a digital page and will appear in my book just as you see it here.  I have used 6x8 photo template from Paislee Press and xoxo digital journal card from Big City Quiet (I am totally in love with her stuff).

#littlesummerJOY officially kicks off on July 6 so keep an eye on your inboxes for all the info.  I am up with the first prompt so I look forward to seeing you then.

Love me :-)

#littlesummerJOY - supplies

Just thought I would share some of the supplies that I am thinking about using for #littlesummerJOY project.  As I have mentioned I will be doing a photobook but also intend to do some layouts and PL spreads as well.

Right now I will be using stamps from Kellie Stamps along with digital supplies from Big City Quiet.  I am sure I will be adding to this but for now I am super happy with my collection of craft supplies.

First prompt will be up on Monday so be sure to check the Little Paper Projects website for all the details and I can't wait to see all your fun posts.

Bring on the Joy...
Love me :-)
